Refreshing Rest Stop
Wall Drug is South Dakota's most famous stop with billboards for hundreds of miles out beckoning travelers. This historic store started serving free ice water and 5 cent coffee during the Great Depression to attract customers and continues to do so today. Had a hearty lunch of their trademark hot beef sandwich, buffalo hot dog, homemade donut and blackberry pie. And lots of free ice water, of course.

South Dakota has been one of my fave states so far! I'd like to go back and do a family road trip one day, especially since we didn't see Mt. Rushmore. Lots more to see in SD!
