Guten Morgen

Kuchen (means cake in German) is the state dessert of South Dakota. It's a dough like crust filled with custard and fruit, and can be pie sized or individual. Typically kuchen is made in the southeastern part of the state, but with the help of some locals I found some at the neighborhood store.

That is alot of eating along this trip. We will have to roll you two by the time you reach home. This is so great as we get a taste of what you are eating and traveling. Something to think about too.

Hi Guys,

This is Dad, everyday I follow your route to the west. You are doing something that I have always wanted to do, drive across the US. "Eating your way across the USA" would make a great book written by the Yus. Ha! Ha!

See you nest week!
